Ginetta Juniors

After conversations with professionals in the world of racing, I was advised that if I wanted a career as a racing driver, I must make the transition from karts to cars now or never.

We were recommended the car series Ginetta Juniors and soon after a test was arranged in March. I missed a week of school in the lead up to my GCSE exams to complete this (which my parents were not too happy about!).

During my week off I took my ARDS (racing licence) Test in the height of winter at Mallory park, on a surprisingly sunny day, and later that week I had my first ever test  in a race car at a very wet and soggy Brands Hatch. Ironically, I had this licence before my actual driver’s licence!

The path was forged, but it was not clear yet.
